Once served as the mouth of the garbage and sewage, today they are one of the nicest places in Krakow. Planty passed a long way to still captivate with their beauty to anyone who tends towards the Market Square.
In summer you can hide here from the sun, in autumn-compose a beautiful bouquet of leaves, in winter you can be a witness of many fights on the knob and during spring it is difficult to find more suitable place for a romantic walk. Planty, regardless of the season are the most popular city park in Kraków. All Visitors of the Royal town should spend a little time and take a walk in this unique park.
Within the Planty or its surroundings are places worth seeing, such as: Barbican, Florian Gate, Joiners Tower, Palace of Arts, Juliusz Słowacki Theatre , House of the Academy of Music, Churches: St. Cross, Reformed, Dominicans, Franciscans, Bishop's Palace, Collegium Novum Jagiellonian University, Jagiellonian University Collegium Witkowski, the Wawel Castle. There are also numerous monuments and two fountains, including one with a pond where swans swim sometimes.
After a walk in the Planty don't forget to visit Bunker of Art. Always full of interesting exhibitions will attract your attention. Bunker Art is also a unique cafe and restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious hot chocolate or eat lunch while enjoying the view of the Planty in the original interior, where the walls creates a transparent film that is removed during the summer.
