All that on one thousand square meters in the Gallery of the 19th-Century Polish Art of the
National Museum in Krakow/Sukiennice.
Aftar a long repairs (from August 2006 till September 2010) again you can admire the
Sukiennice- a huge market hall based in the middle of the Main Square. Not only disappeared
very aesthetic scaffolding and cranes, but in the basement of this beautiful building you will
find first in Poland, a unique global underground museum. The exhibition, entitled “Traces of
the European identity of Kraków” is multimedia show and a time travel. Visitors can “touch”
the history of the legendary city and the journey to the past provides a multimedia room,
where the viewer is surrounded by historic events emitting screens.
In the rooms you will also find "artomaty" - specifically computers with touch screens,
through which visitors can learn the history of the Cloth Hall and the City of Krakow.
